ABOUT THE GUERNSEY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

The Guernsey Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1991 with the aim of developing orchestral music in all its forms for the benefit and advancement of musicians and the appreciation and enjoyment of concert audiences. To achieve this, the Trustees and Management Committee engage the services of both amateur and professional musicians including soloists and conductors and currently produce three ambitious concerts each year. usually in March, July and November.

The orchestra recently celebrated its 20th anniversary year and featured on a double page spread in the Guernsey Press on 14 August 2012. The article can be downloaded here, reproduced with the kind permission of the Guernsey Press.
